Ashley Strohmier

Ashley Strohmier (born on January 1, 1989) is a well-known journalist, overnight news anchor and correspondent for Fox News Channel in New York City. Previously, before joining Fox News, she worked as an anchor and reporter with ABC affiliate KMIZ in Columbia, Missouri, from 2013 to February 26th, 2020. ^[1]

Ashley Strohmier was born on January 1, 1989, in Jefferson City, Missouri, United States. She celebrates her birthday on January 1st every year. She is 31 years old as of 2020.

Ashley was crowned Miss Missouri USA. As Miss Missouri USA, she traveled around Missouri and the surrounding states hosting events, speaking at public events, graduations. ^[2]

Career

Ashley Strohmier has worked at KMIZ (ABC) in Columbia, Missouri, as a general assignment reporter and anchor, covering crime as well as state and local politics since 2013.^[5] Her in-depth reporting on the state's Department of Social Services in 2014 prompted lawmakers to launch an investigation into the activities of the department, earning her a Kansas City Press Club honor.^[3]

Ashley Strohmier was awarded the Best News Anchor award in 2019 by the Missouri Broadcasters Association for her role as an anchor for the evening news.

She also received numerous awards during her tenure with the station, including as a solo anchor for News This Morning, where she also produced, anchored and handled her regular content.^[4]
